How It Started...

How It's Going...

The candidates remained friends. Years ago as the owner of a small recruiting firm, I had the privilege of interviewing many amazing job seekers - but most always, for only one position. I was fortunate to maintain many friendships in spite of those who weren't chosen because I genuinely cared about their future, their families and their careers.

But I wanted to do more.  I had the skillset to market them, but I didn't have the time. There were so many who needed an advocate and a coach. They needed someone to show them a successful and efficient process. And they were desperate to be seen and heard. I wanted to teach them how to market themselves when I could not do it for them. And some I did help with cold calling, networking, resume writing and more, but there simply wasn't time to coach the way I wanted.

The clients continued to call as well.  They needed more than a resume shop. They wanted to hire the person, not just the paper. They needed more depth than a quick phone call to make good decisions. In some ways, my success ensured theirs and I took that seriously.

A lot has changed since then. My career in the legal field had to come full circle for me to return to the other career I was passionate about. And so I do both. And thankfully, we don't cold call anymore!  But there is still a nuance to the job search process and I enjoy sharing what has worked for so many.

My goal has always been to provide a co-op of talented professionals to help with anything related to dynamic and enjoyable careers.  I have created a network of some of the best and brightest minds in HR, recruitment, marketing, business coaching and licensed counseling to keep careers progressing.

And while I will always be working to grow this team, The Careers Firm is thriving and I can't wait to see the next success story we create together!
